Xamoudochori is a semi-mountainous settlement of Chania with stunning views of the Platanias coast. It is 19 km from the center of Chania and is at an altitude of 110 meters. There is a traditional café in the center of Xamoudohori, but more shopping can be found in Maleme, 3.5 km away. The village offers views of the area’s endless olive groves and vineyards and the bay of Chania. Shortly after the settlement of Xamoudochori we come across the beautiful village of Kiparissos, another village built on the hills of Platanias.
