Tertsas ist eine kleine Siedlung, die 91 Meilen südöstlich von Heraklion und 54 km südwestlich von Agios Nikolaos zwischen Myrtos und Psari Forada liegt. Es liegt in einem recht grünen Tal mit Wasserquellen, das im Winter vom Tsuna-Fluss und dem durch das Labyrinth von Lapathos fließenden Bach bedeckt ist. Ein paar Meter nördlich des Strandes befindet sich der malerische Tempel des Heiligen Georg.
Vor dem Dorf liegt ein ruhiger Strand mit dichtem grauem Sand und kristallklarem Wasser. Tertsa ist nicht sehr entwickelt und behält einen Teil seiner Authentizität. Sie finden nur 2-3 Tavernen am Strand, es gibt keine Sonnenschirme, aber vor der Siedlung gibt es mehrere Bäume, die natürlichen Schatten bieten. Am westlichen Ende des Strandes befindet sich ein wunderbarer Felsen mit bizarren Formationen, hinter dem sich ein zweiter kleinerer Strand bildet, Psarocharakos, der noch schöner ist als der erste. Es gibt auch einen kurzen Feldweg, der von der Siedlung ausgeht und über den langen Strand von Vourdolakou nach Westen führt.

Tertsas is a small settlement located 91 miles southeast of Heraklion and 54km southwest of Agios Nikolaos, between Myrtos and Psari Forada. It is located in a quite green valley with water springs, which is covered by the Tsuna River in winter and the stream passing through the labyrinth of Lapathos. A few meters north of the beach there is the picturesque temple of St. George.
In front of the village lies a quiet beach with thick gray sand and crystal clear waters. Tertsa is not very developed, maintaining part of its authenticity. You will find only 2-3 taverns on the beach, there are no umbrellas, but in front of the settlement there are several trees that offer natural shade. At the west end of the beach there is a wonderful rock with terrible formations, behind which is formed a second smaller beach, Psarocharakos, even more beautiful than the first. There is also a short dirt road that starts from the settlement and continues westwards over the long beach of Vourdolakou.
