Plakias ist ein wunderschönes Dorf am Ufer des Libyschen Meeres, nur 35 km vom Zentrum von Rethymno entfernt und aufgrund seiner Ausrichtung scheint die Sonne fast das ganze Jahr über. Plakias is a beautiful village on the shores of the Libyan Sea, only 35 km from the center of Rethymno and due to its orientation the sun shines almost all year round. Plakias used to be just a small fishing village, but has developed into a tourist destination in recent decades.
