Plakalona ist ein kleines, traditionelles Dorf im Nordwesten Kretas. Vom Dorf aus hat man einen tollen Blick über den Golf sowie die Stadt Kissamos. Je nach Standort reicht der Blick sogar bis zur Halbinsel Gramvousa. Das Dorf ist ruhig, hat wenig Einwohner und liegt auf einer Höhe von 200 Metern.

Plakalona is a small, traditional village in northwest Crete. From the village you have a great view over the gulf and the city of Kissamos. Depending on the location, the view even extends as far as the Gramvousa peninsula. The village is quiet, has few inhabitants and is at an altitude of 200 meters.
