It is only 5 km from the beaches of Marathi and Loutraki and is a quiet residential area with beautiful restored stone houses and lots of green areas. The village is known for the medieval monastery of St. John, which is well worth a visit. It has a nice tavern and a kafeneion in the central square, but more shopping opportunities can be found in either Aroni or Kounoupidiana, only 5 km away.
