Panormos (Panormo) liegt etwa 20 km östlich von Rethymno. Es ist ein ruhiger Ferienort, der in den letzten Jahren stark gewachsen ist, ohne seine traditionelle Form zu verlieren. Das malerische Dorf, die schönen Sandstrände im Dorf und der einfache Zugang durch die Nordstraßenachse von Kreta haben dazu beigetragen.
In Panormos gibt es grundsätzlich zwei große und einige kleinere Strände. Wie der Name schon sagt, ist Panormo ein natürlicher Hafen mit ruhigem Wasser. Der Strand von Limanaki befindet sich vor dem Dorf unter den Ruinen der Burg Mylopotamos und dient dem Hafen von Panormo. Es ist sandig und hat klares Wasser. Es ist ideal für Kinder, da es flach ist und im Osten, wo die Boote anliegen, geschützt ist. Es ist mit Sonnenschirmen, Duschen, Wassersportarten und allen Möglichkeiten zum Verweilen organisiert. Gleich daneben befindet sich im Osten ein kleinerer Strand, der überhaupt nicht organisiert ist und von Schwimmern nicht besonders bevorzugt wird.

Panormo is about 20 km east of Rethymnon. It is a quiet tourist resort, which has grown strongly in recent years, without losing its traditional form. The picturesque village, the beautiful sandy beaches in the village and the easy access through the Northern Road Axis of Crete have contributed to this.
In Panormo there are basically two large beaches and some smaller ones. As its name suggests, Panormo is a natural harbor with calm waters. Limanaki beach is located in front of the village, under the ruins of Mylopotamos Castle, and serves the port of Panormos. It is sandy and has clear waters. It is ideal for children, as it is shallow, and it is protected to the east by a boat where the boats tie. It is organized with umbrellas, showers, water sports and all the possibilities of staying around. Right beside, to the east there is a smaller beach, not organized at all, which is not particularly preferred by swimmers.
