Pahia Ammos ist ein wunderschönes Dorf am Meer in der Gemeinde Ierapetra in Lassithi. Pahia Ammos is a beautiful and seaside village in the Municipality of Ierapetra of Lassithi. It is located 20 kilometers east of Agios Nikolaos and 15 kilometers north of Ierapetra, in the bay of Mirabello. There is the Institute of Prehistoric Aegean Studies of Eastern Crete, which carries out archaeological research in the area. Within a short distance from the settlement is the archaeological site of Gournia.
Pahia Ammos has the largest beach on the northern coast of Ierapetra province and has sand to the west and pebbles to the east.
