Neo Chorio is a traditional village in the lush green Apokoronas region, 22 km east of Chania. Located on the side of a hill, it overlooks a valley of olive and orange groves and offers views of the White Mountains. Around the village square with the huge plane tree, which provides a lot of shade in summer, there are traditional cafes as well as taverns with simple traditional cuisine and a mini market for daily needs. All other amenities such as banks, supermarkets, post office, doctor’s office, retail and entertainment can be found in the coastal town of Kalyves, only 5 km away. Kalyves also has a beautiful sandy beach.
