Margarites ist ein traditionelles Bergdorf in der Präfektur Rethymno, nahe der antiken Stadt Eleutherna und ca. 38 km entfernt von der Stadt Rethymno gelegen. Margarites is a traditional mountain village in the Rethymno Prefecture, located close to the ancient city of Eleutherna and about 38 km from the city of Rethymno. It is known for its pottery art, and the second most important pottery center in Crete. There are many workshops in the village and visitors can watch the artists at work.
