Das Dorf Krousonas in den Ausläufern des Berges Ida (Psiloritis) stammt mindestens aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. Es bietet Blick auf die Landschaft. Das kleine Musikinstrumentenmuseum zeigt traditionelle griechische und kretische Instrumente und veranstaltet auch Konzerte und Workshops. Auch ist es bekannt für das Mönchskloster der Heiligen Irini, das mittlerweile von Nonnen geführt wird. Open-Air-Cafés und Tavernen sind im Dorfzentrum verstreut.

The village of Krousonas in the foothills of Mount Ida (Psiloritis) dates from at least the 16th century. It offers countryside views. The small musical instrument museum displays traditional Greek and Cretan instruments and also hosts concerts and workshops. It is also known for the monastery of Saint Irini, which is now run by nuns. Open-air cafes and tavernas are scattered around the village center.
