Kritsa ist ein schönes Beispiel für ein typisches traditionelles kretisches Dorf und ein beliebtes Ziel für Besucher. Kritsa liegt im Landesinneren von Lasithi, etwa 11 km von der kosmopolitischen Stadt Agios Nikolaos entfernt. Kritsa is a fine example of a typical traditional Cretan village and a popular destination for visitors. Kritsa is located inland from Lasithi, about 11 km from the cosmopolitan city of Agios Nikolaos. It has an elevated position and great views of the mountains, the valley and, in some cases, the sea. There is a wide variety of colorful shops selling traditional handicrafts and souvenirs, as well as a wide range of kafenia, tavernas, bars and shops selling local products. There is also a bank, doctor’s office and schools. The village can be easily reached by public transport and there is a regular bus service to and from Agios Nikolaos. The closest beach is 10 km away and Heraklion International Airport is an hour’s drive away.
