Kolymbari (Kolymvari) ist eine Kleinstadt an der Ecke zwischen der Nordküste von Westkreta und der Halbinsel Rodopos, die sich nach Norden erstreckt. Kolimbari liegt 24 km von der Stadt Chania und 12 km vom großen Ferienort Platanias entfernt. Dieses kleine kretische Dorf, umgeben von Olivenhainen und dem Meer, ist bereits in die touristische Entwicklung eingetreten, da hier einige Hotel-Resorts gebaut wurden. Kolymvari bleibt jedoch immer noch ein ruhiges und malerisches traditionelles Dorf.

Kolymbari (Kolymvari) is a small town on the corner between the north coast of western Crete and the Rodopos peninsula, which extends north. Kolimbari is located 24 km from the city of Chania and 12 km from the large resort of Platanias. This small Cretan village, surrounded by olive groves and the sea, has already entered tourist development as several hotel resorts have been built here. However, Kolymvari still remains a quiet and picturesque traditional village.
