Kapariana ist ein kleines Dorf in der Nähe von Moires auf Südkreta. Der Name stammt vom Wort „kaparós“, was helles oder blondes Haar bedeutet. Kapariana liegt inmitten vieler schöner und traditioneller Dörfer im Tal von Messara, wie Petrokefali, Kousses, Pompia, Agioi Deka, Plouti, Galia, und ist etwa 12 Autominuten vom Palast von Knossos entfernt, einem der schönsten Beispiele der Minoischen Zivilisation. Im Dorf sehen Sie die Kirchen von Agios Georgios und Agios Myronas. Kapariana ist ein schnell wachsender Vorort der Stadt Miri. Die meisten Einwohner zogen aus Bergdörfern, um Arbeit zu finden, die sich dann dauerhaft in der Siedlung niederließen. Kapariana is a small village close to Moires in south Crete. Its name origin comes from the word „kaparós“ which means blond or fair hair. Kapariana is located among many beautiful and traditional villages in the valley of Messara, like Petrokefali, Kousses, Pompia, Agioi Deka, Plouti, Galia, and it is approximately a 12 minutes drive from the Palace of Knossos, one of the finest exemplars of Minoan civilization. In the village you will see the churches of Agios Georgios and Agios Myronas while you can find all kinds of shops and cafes. Kapariana is a rapidly growing suburb of the city of Miri. Most of its inhabitants moved from mountain villages in order to find work who then settled permanently in the settlement. On the main road you can see all kinds of shops from car repair shops to pizzerias and cafes.
