Gallia ist eines der ältesten Dörfer der Gegend von Messara. Der Renaissance-Turm im Dorf und die Wasserfontänen in der Gegend von Kapeloniana erinnern an den Tod der Venezianer. Es liegt auf einer Höhe von 250 m und ist von Hügeln umgeben. Es bietet einen imposanten Blick nach Süden zum Messara-Tal und zum Asteroussia-Gebirge, nach Westen zum libyschen Meer und nach Norden zum Psiloritis-Berg.
Es gibt nur ein paar Tavernen und Bars im Dorf und Gallia ist ideal für diejenigen, die etwas Zeit abseits des Stadtlebens in einer ruhigen Umgebung verbringen möchten.

Gallia is one of the oldest villages of the area of Messara. The renaissance tower in the village and the water fountains in the Kapeloniana area are proof of the passing of the Venetians. It is built at an altitude of 250 m., surrounded by hills. It commands an imposing view south to the Messara Valley and to the Asteroussia mountain range, west to the Libyan sea and north to the Psiloritis mountain.
There are only a couple of tavernas and bars in the village and Gallia is ideal for thoses who wants to spend some time in a quiet environmnet away from the city life.
