Das Dorf Armenoi (Armeni) hat mehrere Quellen und ist sehr wasserreich. Hier werden Avocados, Orangen und Oliven kultiviert. Beeindruckend ist auch die Architektur und die Geschichte. Es liegt an den Ausläufern der Weißen Berge, 16 km östlich von Chania und 3 km landeinwärts von Kalyves an der Nordküste der Insel, inmitten des fruchtbaren Ackerlandes der Apokoronas. Vom alten Dorfplatz aus an einigen wunderschön restaurierten Häusern vorbei kann man viele schöne Spaziergänge entlang der Bäche und Hügel unternehmen.  Es gibt eine ausgezeichnete Metzgerei, eine Apotheke, einen Minimarkt und ein paar Cafés und Tavernen, die Anziehungspunkt für Touristen und Einheimische sind.

The village of Armenoi (Armeni) has several springs and is very rich in water. Avocados, oranges and olives are grown here. The architecture and history are also impressive. It is located at the foothills of the White Mountains, 16 km east of Chania and 3 km inland from Kalyves on the north coast of the island, in the middle of the fertile farmland of the Apokoronas. From the old village square, past some beautifully restored houses, you can take many beautiful walks along the streams and hills. There is an excellent butcher shop, pharmacy, mini market and a few cafes and taverns that attract tourists and locals alike.
