Argiroupoli ist ein ruhiges Bergdorf, das vor allem mit seiner wunderschönen umgebenden Natur auf den ersten Blick anlockt. Obwohl das Dorf nur knapp 300 Meter über dem Meer liegt, ist es im Sommer oft spürbar kühler als unten am Meer. Der Wasserreichtum von Argiroupoli ist auf ganz Kreta berühmt. Es ist eine grüne Oase im sonst so trockenen Kreta. Die Wasserfälle von Argiroupoli sind ein besonderes Highlight. Zwischen den hunderten kleinen Wasserfällen wurden mehrere Tavernen errichtet.

Argiroupoli is a quiet mountain village that attracts at first glance with its beautiful surrounding nature. Although the village is only 300 meters above sea level, it is often noticeably cooler in summer than down by the sea. The abundance of water in Argiroupoli is famous throughout Crete. It is a green oasis in otherwise dry Crete. The waterfalls of Argiroupoli are a special highlight. Several taverns have been built between the hundreds of small waterfalls.
